"I am a recently retired R.N. who has been baking and cooking since I was about 8 yrs old. My mom had me cook dinner every Wednesday by myself using her cook books. She taught me how to cook and bake everything. I graduated from nursing school in 1960, and married the love of my life in 1961.We have 4 children and 2 grandsons. I have won awards and had recipes published in Country Woman, Better Homes & Gardens, Taste Of Home`s Quick Cooking and Simple & Delicious magazines."

Mama C.'s Tips & Tricks for Successful Pie Making:

-When making pie dough always double or triple the recipe, divide into discs, enough for one crust. Wrap in plastic wrap, place in a plastic baggie and freeze for future use.

-To keep bottom crusts from getting soggy always pre bake for 10 minutes before adding filling.
